The Central Government has introduced an illustrious initiative under the banner of Mera Bill Mera Adhikar which has commenced today. Under this documentary scheme, the government has extended an enticement of up to one crore rupees to citizens uploading GST bills.
The Central Government has introduced a splendid scheme named “Mera Bill Mera Adhikar” (My Bill, My Right). This scheme was launched on September 1st.The aim of this scheme is to incentivize customers to request GST bills for all their purchases.
If more GST bills are generated, it will help curb tax evasion. it will contribute to the government’s store. Under this program, citizens who upload GST bills can receive attractive rewards, up to one crore rupees. Government will select 800 people every month.
Under this scheme to make a millionaire of the central government, apart from a reward of one crore rupees, people will also get many other rewards. In this scheme every month the government will select 800 people. These will be those 800 people who will upload their GST bill online every month.
These 800 people will be given a reward of Rs 10,000. At the same time, 10 people will be selected, to whom the government will give an amount of up to Rs 10 lakh. Under the scheme, a bumper prize of 1 crore will be drawn on a quarterly basis. This prize will be given to only two people.
What are the rules of ” Mera Bill Mera Adhikar “?
To avail the benefit of this scheme, the customer will have to upload his GST bill online. While applying, the customer will have to fill all his details correctly. There will be no scope for change after filling the details. After this, the customer is required to submit a bill of at least Rs.200.
While applying for the scheme, you may have to upload some documents like PAN card, bank account information and Aadhar card etc. A person can upload only 25 GST bills in a month. The uploaded invoice should contain details of seller’s GSTIN, invoice number, amount paid and tax amount.
How to take advantage of the scheme ?
To take advantage of this scheme of the Central Government, you will have to download the Mera Bill Mera Adhikar app on your mobile thru Google Play Store . Apart from this, you can also apply for the scheme by visiting web.merabill.gst.gov.in website.
Amidst all this, it is also important to know that at present this scheme has been started for selected states. These states include Gujarat, Assam, Haryana and union territories like Daman and Diu, Dadra Nagar Haveli and Puducherry.
